Our Story
Stony Meadow Puppies is a trusted mini Goldendoodle and mini Bernedoodle breeder in Pennsylvania, serving families in Lancaster, Reading, Philadelphia, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, and beyond.
Our story started when Del grew up with Boston Terriers and Andee grew up with various breeds of dogs until her family was introduced to goldendoodles. Her family completely fell in love with this wonderful breed for their personality and non-shedding coat. Every since they have always had goldendoodles in her family home and bred their family goldendoodles, Grandview Doodles.
Once we (Del and Andee) got married and moved to our own 26 acre farmette we knew we wanted our four kids to be able to enjoy their own dogs and make the same wonderful memories we had with our dogs. We also wanted others to be able to have the same wonderful experiences and memories. We had always wanted a Bernese Mountain Dog for their beautiful coat and lovable personality and we wanted to continue having goldendoodles because we of their intelligence and personality and we just love them!
In 2020 we welcomed Piper (our Bernese) into our family and then in 2021 we welcomed Mia (our mini goldendoodle) in our family. They are truly the best of friends and won't go anywhere without each other and enjoy running around with us on our farmette and going on trips with us.
I always wanted the ability to have both parents in order to have more control over genetics, personality, and control over breeding. In 2022 we welcomed Jett and Rusty (our mini poodle studs) into our family.
What Makes Our Puppies Unique
Our puppies are socialized with children and other animals. We spend a lot of time cuddling and getting to know each puppy and their own unique personalities so when the time comes for you to choose your companion we are able to help guide you. We offer a 2 year genetic health guarantee and health certificate. All puppies are checked by a licensed vet, dews claws are removed, and they are microchipped.
We also take the time to perform early neurological stimulation on each puppy through the Bio-Sensor or "Super Dog" program, as well as sensory training. We work to introduce our puppies to crate training and potty training to help make the transition to your home easier.
As conscientious Pet Breeders, we vet potential owners to ensure they are fully equipped to care for these wonderful animals. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Reach out to us for more information or to reserve a specific puppy.

How We Raise Our Puppies
Raising puppies is our top priority. This means we are very intentional in the care and upbringing of each puppy. We also want to place happy, healthy, and intelligent puppies with great families. All of our adults are DNA health tested to prevent the puppies from developing any preventable genetic conditions.
Socialization and development are also very important! We begin Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) at a very young age. We start this at 3 days old and and continues until the puppies are 2.5 weeks old. After ENS we start other socialization and continue to handle our puppies daily. Puppies will also experience a number of different exposures such as thunder, fire sirens, people in hats, people with umbrellas, people in sweatshirts, tractors, lawnmowers, children, other animals, etc. They will also experience different surfaces and textures such as wood, rubber, grass, rope, etc.
Once it is safe for the pups (age and weather wise) the puppies have 24/7 indoor/outdoor access through their doggy door. Puppies quickly learn to go potty outside and avoid going in their indoor/safe space. This helps with potty training in their new homes and they are accustomed to all types of weather. We also start with crate introduction by allowing the puppies to enter, exit, and sleep in their crates. This allows the puppies to become used to the crate and teaching them that the crate is not a punishment but a safe place.
We want to send home a well adjusted, confident, and loving dog with our families!

Temperment Testing
Temperament testing can give you a snapshot of a puppy's potential. Temperament test scores don’t necessarily reflect exactly how a puppy will grow up, but they can give a good indication. A puppy’s environment and socialization until adulthood have big impact. But temperament testing is a valuable tool that can be helpful in placing puppies in homes where they will thrive.
At 6-7 weeks of age, our puppies are evaluated using the Volhard Aptitude Test. Throughout the test, we will rate each puppy's reaction as we expose them to ten different activities. There are no winners, no loser, or wrong answers. The whole process to to simply give a better look at a puppy's potential and help place the puppy in the appropriate home.
